Diary - February 2013
We (the UK) seem to be experiencing a new form of "winter", from sub-zero, hose-pipe freezing weather, to double figure, Spring-like temperatures. The poor animals (and plants) don't know whether they are coming or going. Limonero has decided its time to get rid of his extremely woolly coat already though - does he know something, or is it just optimism?!
Our numbers are about to decrease by one, as the beautiful Jewel is to go to a new home at the weekend. Although I will miss her hugely, I am very happy that her new home is a fantastic one.
We have also decided to let Bunny (Serenity) and McGee go this year too, so if anyone is interested, please drop me a line.
After gallantly holding the fort for us for the past year, Leigh is to return to his former career. This means that Hugh and I will be taking back the reins, and will continue to run the yard as a livery yard for the foreseeable future. (Look out!).
Our plan is to employ a live-in couple to assist us on the farm, with the horses and with the holiday lets on a part time basis. Again, if you know of anyone who may be interested, please do get in touch
